Visit to Heike Brachlow's Studio Complex

Tuesday 29th October, at 2 pm.

Parndon Mill in Essex provides workspace for artists, craftspeople, designers and architects who have the opportunity to share ideas and use their different skills to collaborate on creative work.

Born and raised in Munich, Germany, Heike Brachlow received her BA in glass 2004 from the University of Wolverhampton, her MA in 2006 and her PhD in 2012 from the Royal College of Art in London. She primarily works as a self-employed artist from her studio at Parndon Mill, and as an educator and lecturer, teaching at the Royal College of Art and institutions such as the Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass and Pilchuck Glass School. Heike will speak to our group about her approach and technique of cast glass sculpture. Her assistant glass maker, Joshua Kerley, will then explain his approach to kiln formed glass.    Parndon Mill is within walking distance of Old Harlow railway station
